Andy Hale is the director of the Asheville School of Wine and the primary teacher for the classes taught there. He is a Certified Specialist of Wine and was formerly a Sommelier at the Sanctuary Hotel at Kiawah Island in South Carolina. He has over fifteen years of experience in the food and beverage community and has also worked in wine distribution. He and his wife, Christina, moved to Asheville from Charleston, South Carolina in 2012, and added their daughter Josephine to the picture in 2016.
